They are available for men and women; the women's line so far features your choice of a pink strap or a black-and-white stripe strap, with more colors on the way. They use Champ spikes, have a place to insert extra tees in the heel, and raised edges on the footbed to help keep your foot from sliding. Golf Gators probably aren't the best choice for high level competition or walking 18 holes on a hilly course, but pretty cool for a fun round with your BFFs!
